Growing up, I was always surrounded by friends and family at least once or twice a week; we would gather and celebrate for no particular reason, other than to bond, eat, play games and laugh with each other. More often than not, the everyday at-home lives of black people are not portrayed in the best light in the media. Showing how joyful it is has recently been more encouraged with black artists, or frankly artists of color in general. Creating art that attributes to that has been a long-running goal of mine, which is why I'm particularly excited for these upcoming projects. This shoot will capture more "candid" shots of around four models while still keeping an editorial and colorful feel.
